Ogallala Livestock Auction report
The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Nebraska, reported receipts of 7,100 head selling on Jan. 4, compared to 7,050 head selling in early December, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
No comparisons could be made to last week, due to the holiday break. Demand was good with a nice good selection of cattle offered. Steers accounted for 58% and heifers 42% of the offering, with 70% over 600 pounds.
