Woodward Livestock Auction report
The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,316 head on Jan. 18, compared to 7,247 head last week and 1,400 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago the feeder steers weighing 650 pounds and heavier were selling $9 to $12 higher. The feeder heifers were selling $5 to $10 higher. The steer calves were selling $8 to $12 higher. The heifer calves were selling $5 to $10 higher. The demand was very good for all classes. The fill was average. The supply included 81% weighing over 600 pounds and 32% was heifers.
