Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report, Feb. 1, reported receipts of selling 7,050 head, compared to 7,188 head selling a week ago and 4,350 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compared to a week ago, feeder steers were selling steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were selling steady to $3 higher. Steer calves were selling $1 to $6 higher. Heifer calves were selling $5 to $7 higher. Demand was good for feeders, very good for calves. Fill was average. The supply includes 56% over 600 pounds with 33% heifers.
