Pratt Community College to host Women in Agriculture Workshop
On April 28, Pratt Community College will be hosting a free event for all women interested in the agriculture industry. The event is open to high school-aged females interested in exploring topics and careers in Agriculture, as well as females of all ages with an interest in or actively involved in the Agriculture industry.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. A variety of breakout sessions led by industry experts that participants may attend include:
- Careers in Agriculture, STEAM;
- Farm Economics & Finances;
- Environmental Partnerships with Producers;
- Travel Kansas;
- Overview of Ag Mediation Services & Ag Succession Planning;
- Social Media: The New Ag Coffee Shop;
- Visioning for the Future of the Farm and Ranch; and
- Empowering Young Women in Agriculture.
