The I-29 Moo University Dairy Beef Short Course Tour was tied to the Central Plains Dairy Expo with assistance from Extension specialists in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota, including Beth Doran and Fred Hall from Iowa State. Eighty beef producers and allied industry professionals from nine states and Canada participated in this tour featuring dairy steer production and unique characteristics of dairy steers. The Iowa Beef Center at Iowa State University was established in 1996 with the goal of supporting the growth and vitality of the state’s beef cattle industry.
