Greene County Master Gardeners will begin hosting a “Learn to Grow” series of classes beginning this summer.
These classes will be on Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Botanical Center, 2400. S. Scenic Ave., Springfield.
There is a cost of $5 per class, payable at the door, and registration can also be done by calling 417-891-1515.
The first class in this series is on June 11 and the topic will be roses. William Aldrich, Master Gardener and curator of the Springfield Botanical Gardens’ Rose Garden will be the presenter and tour guide.
On July 9, the topic is container water gardening. On August 13 the topic will be crepe myrtle. The class on Sept. 10 will focus on twilight gardens and creating a garden sanctuary will be the topic on Oct. 8.
