Ada livestock auction report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Oklahoma, reported estimated receipts of 1,400 head selling on June 13, compared to 2,340 head a week ago and 2,155 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steer and heifer calves were selling mostly steady on comparable sales. Yearling steers were selling mostly $2 higher, yearling heifers were not tested. Overall quality was plain to average with many new crop and short to weaned calves offered. Demand was moderate for calves, good for yearlings. Heifers made up 43% and cattle over 600 pounds 22% of supply.
