Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report
The Pratt Livestock auction, Pratt, Kansas, reported estimated receipts of 2,400 head July 19, compared to 2,462 head last week and 2,285 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kansas.
At mid-session, compared to a week ago, the feeder steers were mixed, with steers under 900 pounds sold steady to $2 lower. Due to weight and condition, steers over 900 pounds sold mostly $4 to $5 higher. The feeder supply was 50% steers and 50% was heifers with 95% over 600 pounds.
Steers: Medium and large frame 1, 379 lbs., 206.00; 480 lbs., 176.00; 595 lbs., 154.00; calves 603 to 647 lbs., 145.00 to 156.00; calves 670 lbs., 147.00; calves 724 to 738 lbs., 135.00 to 144.00; 770 to 795 lbs., 146.10 to 151.00; 800 to 810 lbs., 139.00 to 147.50.
Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 332 lbs., 183.00; 447 lbs., 159.00; 540 lbs., 143.00; 583 lbs., 141.00; fleshy 559 lbs., 141.50; 634 to 641 lbs., 138.00 to 148.00; calves 641 lbs 137.50 calves 657 to 664 lbs., 130.50 to 132.00.
