Corn dough progressed to 84 percent, 22 percentage points ahead of the 5-year average. Corn dented reached 35 percent. Corn condition was rated 20 percent very poor, 24 percent poor, 30 percent fair, 22 percent good, and 4 percent excellent. Soybeans blooming progressed to 86 percent, 18 percentage points ahead of the 5-year average. Soybeans setting pods progressed to 58 percent, 14 percentage points ahead of last year. Soybean condition was rated 11 percent very poor, 22 percent poor, 33 percent fair, 30 percent good, and 4 percent excellent. Cotton bolls opening reached 5 percent. Cotton condition was rated 5 percent poor, 32 percent fair, 51 percent good, and 12 percent excellent. Rice headed was reported at 78 percent. Rice condition was rated 11 percent poor, 19 percent fair, 49 percent good, and 21 percent excellent. Sorghum headed progressed to 74 percent. Sorghum turning color progressed to 22 percent. Sorghum condition was rated 3 percent very poor, 18 percent poor, 40 percent fair, 35 percent good, and 4 percent excellent.
