Hay market trade light to moderate
In Kansas, hay market trade activity is light to moderate. Prices mostly steady. Demand is fairly good. Third cutting alfalfa is in full swing for the western half of the state, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, August 14. Southwest: Dairy alfalfa, grass hay, grinding alfalfa steady, ground and delivered steady, movement slow. Alfalfa, horse, premium, small squares, $280-$300.
