Livestock Development Summit will be Nov. 15 in Brookings

A Livestock Development Summit is scheduled for Nov. 15 on the South Dakota State University campus in Brookings to address key issues related to livestock development, discuss the most effective and responsible ways to move forward and connect with other farmers, leaders and businesses in the industry. South Dakota and southwestern Minnesota farm families as well as community leaders who are interested in learning more about emerging livestock development opportunities are encouraged to attend. The summit is hosted by local Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and will feature presentations by South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard and SDSU President Barry Dunn. Ag United Executive Director Steve Dick will moderate the panel discussion focused on siting, zoning and permitting for livestock operations.
