Roto-Mix, Dodge City, Kansas, has introduced its newest feed mixer—the 525 Vertical Mixer. This single-flight, twin auger model offers dairies, cow-calf and heifer operations an efficient, durable feed mixer that deliver high-quality, totally mixed rations. The 525 is equipped with a 42-inch wide chain conveyor with a choice of either left or right discharge. The twin augers are powered by a reliable, low maintenance PTO-driven, planetary gearbox. Twin augers offer better mixing and processing of long fiber material. This vertical mixer is available in trailer, truck or stationary unit and has a mixing capacity of 525 cubic feet and a maximum load weight of 18,000 pounds with a heavy ration. A short loading height of 103 inches allows several types of loaders to load feed without clearance concerns. The trailer model can be operated with a 100-horsepower or larger tractor.
