The Cattle Trails Cow/Calf Conference will find itself on the Texas side of the Red River this year when experts from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service host cattle operators from both states on Dec. 6.
Because cattle owners and operators in southern Oklahoma and north Texas have similar issues, Emi Kimura, AgriLife Extension agronomist in Vernon, said the annual conference alternates between the two states.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the program from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Wichita Livestock Sales Co., 4006 U.S. Highway 281 No. 100 in Wichita Falls.
The cost is $25 and includes a noon meal and refreshments. Preregistration is requested to Allison Ha at 940-552-9941, ext. 225, or [email protected], or any AgriLife Extension county agent in that region.

Introduction to Angus Link Program, Casey Cobb, Angus Link field representative with the American Angus Association, Clarendon; and
Body Condition Scoring and Vaccine Demonstration, Ron Gill, Texas A&M animal science associate department head and AgriLife Extension livestock specialist, College Station.
