Denison feeder cattle auction report
The Denison feeder cattle auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,677 head selling Dec. 13, compared to 1,640 head a week ago, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
Trades were moderate at this pre-conditioned sale. Light steers were selling minimally $30 higher than a week ago, 500 to 700 pound steers were selling $2 to $19 higher, 800 pound steers were selling $10 higher. Light heifers were selling $7 to $26 higher, 600 to 700 pound heifers were selling $4 to $14 higher. Receipts included 59% steers, 41% heifers, 75% cattle were over 600 pounds.
