Denison Feeder Cattle Auction report
The Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,542 head selling on Feb. 15, compared to 2,413 head a week ago and 2,415 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
This was the Western Iowa Pre-conditioned Feeder Calf Sale. Compared to a week ago, a lower undertone was noted on all cattle. Trade was moderate to good with a higher offering. Receipts included 60% steers and 40% heifers, 77% of the cattle were over 600 pounds, including 48% steers and 28% heifers.with 48% steers and 28% heifers.
