Colorado onion harvest results
Colorado harvested 2,700 acres of onions in 2019, up 4% from 2,600 acres harvested in 2018, according to the Mountain Regional Field Office of USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The state produced 1.15 million hundredweight of onions in 2019, a decrease of 2%from the 1.17 million hundredweight produced in 2018. The value of utilized onion production decreased to $18.53 million in 2019, from $27.26 million in 2018.
