Lundell Plastics’ The Closer closing wheel was developed to be the most versatile closing wheel on the market. This product, made in Odebolt, Iowa, ensures adequate seed-to-soil contact while eliminating sidewall compaction. With a curved-tooth poly design, it prevents lifting of the seed while also aggressively crumbling the sidewall. The Closer is capable of working in a variety of soil types and tillage practices. This closing wheel works great for in-between nitrogen applications. When applying fertilizer with traditional wheels, matter build-up and corrosion can become an issue. The wheel is an ideal choice for no-till and full tillage corn emergence too. These wheels feature a cast iron hub that uses a standard closing wheel bearing.
