Cash bids mixed
Compared to last week, cash bids for corn, sorghum, soybeans and wheat were mixed according to USDA reported prices, Nov. 17.
For the week ending Nov. 12, a increase of 126,907 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an decrease of 611,558 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a increase of 21,709 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an decrease of 24,627 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Nov. 6, reported a slight increase at 977,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was unchanged to down 10 3/4 cents. Corn was up 4 cents. Sorghum was up 4 cents. Soybeans were up 16 1/4 to 23 1/4 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $5.52 1/2.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.77 1/2, down 5 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $6.68 3/4 to $6.78 3/4, down 10 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents; Portland, $6.05 to $6.33, unchanged; St. Louis, $6.05 1/4 to $6.25 1/4, down 2 3/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $4.15 1/4 to $4.23 1/4, up 4 cents; Minneapolis, $3.75 1/4 to $4.16 3/4, up 4 to 1 cent; southern Iowa, $3.94 1/4 to $4.34 3/4, up 1 1/2 to 12 cents; Omaha, $3.84 1/4 to $3.94 1/4, up 5 3/4 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $11.39 3/4 to $11.54 3/4, up 16 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $11.09 3/4 to $11.43 1/2, up 11 to 23 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $11.29 3/4 to $11.67 3/4, up 10 3/4 to 16 1/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $11.61 3/4 to $11.84 3/4, up 23 1/4 to 16 1/4 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 17, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $6.42 1/2 to $6.52 1/2, down 5 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $7.05 1/2 to $7.15 1/2, up 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $7.05 1/2 to $7.15 1/2, up 1/2 cent; 14% protein, $7.05 1/2 to $7.15 1/2, up 1/2 cent. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
