Cash bids higher
Compared to last week, cash bids for corn, wheat, soybeans and sorghum were mostly higher, according to USDA reported prices, April 13.
For the week ending April 8, a decrease of 575,729 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 56,863 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an decrease of 177,055 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 40,024 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending April 2, reported an increase at 975,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was up 5 3/4 cents to unchanged. Corn was up 11 cents. Sorghum was up 11 cents. Soybeans were up 7 1/2 to 12 1/2 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City May wheat was $5.50 1/2.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $6.14 3/4, up 5 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.64 3/4 to $6.69 3/4, up 5 3/4 cents; Portland, $6.70 to $7.80, unchanged; St. Louis, $6.54 3/4 to $6.59 3/4, up 1 3/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $5.90 to $5.95, up 11 cents; Minneapolis, $4.70 1/4 to $5.68, up 7 3/4 to 13 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $4.85 1/4 to $5.90, up 7 3/4 to 11 cents; Omaha, $5.48 to $5.57, up 11 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $14.19 1/2 to $14.24 1/2, up 7 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $12.25 1/4 to $13.77 3/4, up 1 to 7 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $12.37 1/4 to $13.86 1/2, up 1 to 11 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $14.05 1/2 to $14.44 1/2, up 7 1/2 to 12 1/2 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices April 13, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $7.09 3/4 to $7.19 3/4, up 5 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $7.21 3/4 to $7.31 3/4, up 5 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $7.20 3/4 to $7.30 3/4, up 1 3/4 cents; 14% protein, $7.20 3/4 to $7.30 3/4, up 1 3/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
