MU Extension offers cost-estimate budget for pasture fencing

Building new pasture fencing is an important but costly investment. University of Missouri Extension offers new fence construction budgets for landowners and livestock producers to estimate their costs while in the fence planning stage.

The budgets can be downloaded at https://extension.missouri.edu/publications/g1193.

Prices and inputs were calculated as of January 2024 from name-brand fencing supply companies. A group of fence contractors, who requested to remain anonymous, supplied labor estimates. There are budgets for three types of perimeter fencing, electric interior divider fencing and corral fencing. The budgets assume a straight fence with minimal special features on mild terrain.
