WoodFest, hosted by Symphony in the Flint Hills, returns on Sept. 28 at Camp Wood YMCA, near Elmdale, Kansas. This family-friendly event is a day-long celebration of music, art and nature in the Flint Hills.
Throughout the day, attendees can participate in a range of activities, including music workshops, horseback riding, archery and guided hikes. The event will also feature instrument building, painting and other creative arts activities for children. The day ends with the sunset concert, featuring the WoodFest Symphonia, with award-winning soloists Eugene Friesen and Maeve Gilchrist. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is included in the registration fee.
The event offers three ticketing options, each including access to all workshops, Saturday meals and the sunset concert. The Big Bluestem Pass, for up to eight people, is priced at $225. The Little Bluestem Pass, for up to four people, costs $125. The Individual Pass is available for $50.
