Kuhn introduces hay tools and discs

Kuhn recently launched five new products to benefit farmers and ranchers across North America.

The FC 13460 D RA mower conditioner/merger combination is a rear mounted mower conditioner. With 44 feet of working width, in combination with a front-mounted mower conditioner, the FC 13460 D RA quickly increases overall mowing and merging efficiencies.

This machine is ideal for operators making haylage/baleage, or custom operators looking for a mower conditioner with the added capability of merging in a single pass. The FC 3515 D mounted mower conditioner is ideal for small- to medium-sized farms. The Kuhn FC 3515 D mounted mower conditioner can be either a stand-alone rear mounted mower conditioner, or it can be paired with a front mounted mower conditioner to complete the package.

This machine incorporates many industry-leading features customers expect, including the non-stop breakaway system, the heavy-duty, lubed-for-life Optidisc Elite cutterbar, Lift-Controlhydro-pneumatic suspension, FlexProtectside shields and vertical folding.

The Kuhn Merge Maxx MM 950 and 1090 center-delivery hay mergers are ideal for larger farms and custom operators who depend on reliable and adaptable hay mergers to increase their operation’s efficiency.

The MM 950 & 1090 hay mergers are known for their versatility, with the ability to create a uniform windrow, using both center-, side- or split-delivery, in a wide variety of forages. Also new is the SDS series shredders, which offer orchard and vineyard operators an innovative solution for maintaining grassy inter-rows.

The patented side-discharge auger system delivers the clippings to the base of the plants, increasing the concentration of organic matter in the root zone.

The company added to the Kuhn Optimer L and Optimer XL high-speed compact disc lineup with the addition of four new models: the Optimer L 9000/12000 and the Optimer XL 9000/12000. These high-performing compact discs are available in 30 feet and 40 feet working widths to meet the needs of large crop operations. The Optimer L is best suited for shallow working depths and lighter residue loads, while the Optimer XL can work deeper or in tougher residue conditions.
