Scoular invests in key High Plains facility

Scoular recently celebrated an expansion at its Coolidge, Kansas, location.

Scoular had made another investment at its facility in Coolidge, part of the company’s extensive footprint across Kansas.

Scoular recently completed construction of a 4,000-square-foot office (pictured above) at Coolidge that includes a large conference room available to nonprofit community organizations to meet and host events.

The facility recently hosted an open house and producer appreciation event to celebrate the project.

It’s Scoular’s second investment in the facility in recent years. In 2022, Scoular completed a major upgrade at Coolidge that expanded total storage capacity to 6.5 million bushels, boosted grain unloading speed by 30% and added a fifth grain receiving pit.

“Investing in our facilities helps not only our producers, but also our communities,” said Derek Spears, Scoular regional manager. “Keeping our communities strong has always been a priority for us.”

Scoular has strong ties in Kansas and operates over 20 facilities across the state. Coolidge, a shuttle loader on the BNSF mainline, handles wheat, sorghum and corn.

Scoular, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, is an employee-owned, $7.3 billion agribusiness company since 1892. The company employs 1,250 people in more than 100 offices and facilities worldwide and provides safe and reliable solutions to farmers, grain processors, biofuel producers and manufacturers of animal feed, aquafeed and pet food as well as food, beverages and supplements.
