North Dakota – Our crews have been staying busy cutting a swath across the northern country. We now have three crews in North Dakota cutting spring wheat and one crew in Montana yet cutting chickpeas. Its now August 22 and wheat harvest is flying by. The yields have been good and test weights really good around 62 pounds per bushel.
Our weather has been hot with highs in the 90s but now it’ll be cooler with highs in the 70s. There isn’t any rain in the forecast so hopefully we can keep on cutting wheat and then get started on canola. It’s supposed to be very windy today, up to 30 mph gusts, so that helps to get wheat combined!
