The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending Nov. 16, reported receipts of 46,076 head compared to 61,553 head a week ago and 58,627 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 14,950 head, 1,450 to 1,735 lbs., 218.00 to 227.00 (224.33); 65 to 80% Choice, 2,708 head, 1,300 to 1,600 lbs., 225.00 to 228.00 (227.77); 35 to 65% Choice, 1,297 head, 1,350 to 1,650 lbs., 227.00 to 228.00 (227.81). Live delivered, over 80% Choice, 94 head, 1,600 lbs., 222.00 to 226.00 (224.55).
