Kansas—This past week, hay movement during the Christmas week was slow but steady, with minimal new sales reported. Unseasonably warm weather conditions allowed many cattle to remain on grass and wheat pasture, which reduced overall hay demand and usage during the period, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Dec. 30.
