Jorgensen Land & Cattle hosted a highly successful 2025 Motherlode Female & Bull Sale on November 22, 2025, showcasing a powerful lineup of registered Angus genetics that drew strong bidder interest from across the country. The sale offered 140 head total, including 101 registered Angus females and 39 registered 18-month-old bulls, generating an impressive $1,018,000 gross with a $7,271 overall average.
The female offering led the way, with 101 head grossing $715,000 at an average of $7,079, while the 39 bulls followed closely behind, totaling $303,000 and averaging $7,769 per head. The depth, consistency, and maternal strength of the offering were evident throughout the sale.
The top-selling bull commanded $23,000, with Ideal 44104 Apollo, a full brother to Ideal Encore, selling to Ede Breitmeier of Chinook, Montana. Demand for elite donor genetics was especially strong, as Ideal 9411 Marjorie of Encor, a full sister to Ideal Acoolade, topped the female sale at $44,000, purchased jointly by Jason Willis of New Jersey and Howard Hoffman of Pennsylvania. Additional standout donor cows included Ideal 4124 of Red Blkbrd at $22,000 and Ideal 8728 of 5760 Blackcap at $15,000, both selling to Voss Angus of Dexter, Iowa.
The bred cow division also saw spirited bidding, led by Ideal 2824 Blckcp of 0858, a daughter of Emulation 31 out of ideal 8728, bringing $19,000, to Clark Farms (PA) and Cow Country Genetics (WY). Two daughters of elite sires rounded out the top bred cow prices, with Ideal 2055 Marjorie of REN and Ideal 2058 Lady of REN each bringing $14,000, to Palmer Angus of Montgomery, TX.
Overall, the 2025 Motherlode Female & Bull Sale reinforced Jorgensen Land & Cattle’s reputation for producing high-quality, performance-driven Angus genetics with proven maternal strength, qualities clearly recognized and rewarded by a nationwide buyer base.
