The Montana Department of Agriculture is facilitating spring pesticide disposal events April 7 to 9, in Kalispell, Plains and Missoula.

The objective of the Montana Pesticide Stewardship Partnership Program is to have a lasting impact on the health and water quality of the upper Columbia River Basin, knowing that protecting the upper basin will also have a sustained positive effect downstream. Annual pesticide waste collection events have collected nearly 884,000 pounds of pesticide waste from more than 1,900 participants since the program’s inception in 1994.

The pre-registration deadline for the spring event is March 31. For more information, visit agr.mt.gov/Pesticide-Waste-Disposal-Program.
