West Texas beekeeping field day April 18

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is having a West Texas beekeeping field day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 18, at the 1102 E FM 1294, Lubbock, Texas, 79403.

There are two sessions. Beekeeping 201 covers honeybee biology, hive splitting, swarm management, varroa management, and in-hive inspections, for $65. Queen rearing covers handson grafting practice, queen and drone biology, selecting breeder colonies, and cell builder and mating setup, for $75.
