University of Missouri Extension and the Missouri Organic Association will offer a full day of educational presentations, discussion and field demonstrations focused on organic agricultural production in the Ozarks on July 10.

MU Extension plant science field specialist Caleb O’Neal said the free event will feature two educational tracks designed to meet the needs of a variety of producers. One track is on organic row crop production; the second highlights organic poultry production, including both egg-laying flock management and meat bird operations.

The event will be held at the University of Missouri Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center, 14548 Highway H, Mount Vernon. The event, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., is free, but preregistration is required. Register online or contact [email protected] or 573-200-6114.
