Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly higher for wheat, corn, soybeans and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, Nov. 1.
For the week ending Oct. 27, a decrease of 50,306 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 344,645 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 3,763 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 40,730 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Oct. 21, was slightly higher at 1,033,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was unchanged to up 15 cents. Corn up 6 1/4 cents. Sorghum was up 6 1/4 cents. Soybeans were up 28 3/4 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $9.90.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $10.55 1/2, up 11 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $11.29 3/4, up 8 1/2 cents; Portland, $9.10 to $9.35, up 15 cents to unchanged; St. Louis, $7.47 1/2 to $8.82 1/2, up 15 1/4 to 20 1/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.37 3/4 to $7.52 3/4, up 6 1/4 to 11 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.77 3/4 to $6.92 3/4, up 11 1/4 to 21 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $6.42 3/4 to $6.64 3/4, up 6 1/4 cents; Omaha, $7.11 3/4 to $7.34 3/4, up 6 1/4 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $14.57 3/4 to $15.12 3/4, up 43 1/4 to 80 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $14.10 3/4 to $14.20 3/4, up 28 3/4 to 35 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $13.85 3/4 to $14.05 3/4, up 28 3/4 to 46 1/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $14.15 3/4 to $14.55 3/4, up 28 3/4 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 1, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $12.30 to $12.40, up 39 1/4 cents; 12% protein, $11.95 to $12.05, up 11 1/4 cents; 13% protein, $11.80 to $11.90, up 11 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $11.80 to $11.90, up 11 1/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
