Grain market close
The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Feb. 15, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $7.79 3/4; March corn, $6.38; and March soybeans, $15.51 1/4.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.94 3/4 to $9.04 3/4, down 19 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.35 to $7.36, down 17 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $16.66 1/4 to $16.71 1/4, down 18 3/4 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $7.61 to $7.81.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.86 to $8.16.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $7.86 to $8.16.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $7.37 to $7.57.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.66 to $7.94.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.66 to $8.21.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $7.37 to $7.56.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.93.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.38 to $6.67.
In east central Colorado, corn was $6.38 to $6.63.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $6.58 to $6.93.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.33 to $6.38 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.28 to $6.53.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $14.76 1/4 to $14.86 1/4.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $13.50 to $14.50 per cwt.
Sunflowers were $32 to $34 per cwt.
In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.93. Barley was unavailable.
In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $42 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $46. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
