Cash bids mixed

Compared to last week, cash bids for were mixed for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans according to USDA reported prices, March 22.

For the week ending March 17, an increase of 319,528 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 251,799 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 23,414 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 74,210 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending March 11, had a slight decrease at 1,026,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 25 cents to unchanged. Corn down 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 cents. Sorghum was down 3 1/4 to up 1 1/2 cents. Soybeans were up 5 1/2 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City May wheat was $11.16 1/2.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $11.04 3/4, up 6 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $12.50 1/2, change unavailable; Portland, $11.50 to $11.80, up 25 cents to unchanged; St. Louis, $10.68 1/2, up 14 1/2 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.39 3/4 to $7.54 3/4, up 10 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $6.98, down 3 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $7.23 to $7.41, down 3 1/4 to up 2 3/4 cents; Omaha, $6.92 3/4 to $7.07 3/4, up 10 1/2 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $16.78 3/4 to $16.93 3/4, up 6 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $16.36 1/2 to $16.41 1/2, up 5 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $16.66 1/2 to $16.84 1/2, up 10 1/2 to 13 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $16.86 1/2 to $17.06 1/2, up 5 1/2 cents.

U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
