High Plains cattle sales report
The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending Nov. 30, reported receipts of 46,673 head compared to 45,586 head a week ago and 65,516 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 14,667 head, 1,300 to 1,750 lbs., 204.00 to 220.50 (209.78); 65 to 80% Choice, 3,994 head, 1,300 to 1,600 lbs., 210.00 to 220.50 (217.73); 35 to 65% Choice, 149 head, 1,350 to 1,525 lbs., 210.00 to 220.00 (215.31). Live delivered, over 80% Choice, 163 head, 1,500 lbs., 213.00. Dressed delivered, over 80% Choice, 10,555 head, 853 to 1,102 lbs., 325.00 to 330.00 (329.32); 65 to 80% Choice, 999 head, 914 to 1,054 lbs., 330.00. Dressed FOB, over 80% Choice, 175 head, 1,048 lbs., 332.00.
