The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending April 13, reported receipts of 38,541 head compared to 58,884 head a week ago and 56,958 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report is based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 14,660 head, 1,400 to 1,700 lbs., 204.00 to 210.00 (207.99); 65 to 80% Choice, 1,791 head, 1,260 to 1,500 lbs., 204.00 to 208.00 (205.58); 35 to 65% Choice, 117 head, 1,300lbs., 204.00.
