High Plains cattle sales report

The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending June 15, reported receipts of 45,207 head compared to 63,138 head a week ago and 80,890 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 10,905 head, 1,300 to 1,650 lbs., 232.00 to 244.00 (239.91); 65 to 80% Choice, 3,549 head, 1,300 to 1,674 lbs., 233.00 to 242.00 (235.89); 35 to 65% Choice, 902 head, 1,220 to 1,400 lbs., 234.00 to 235.00 (234.93). Live delivered, over 80% Choice, 1,496 head, 1,475 to 1,600 lbs., 238.00 to 242.00 (241.63). Dress delivered, over 80% Choice, 8,860 head, 837 to 1,098 lbs., 375.00 to 383.00 (380.16); 65 to 80% Choice, 1,489 head, 854 to 1,056 lbs., 370.00 to 380.00 (379.46); 35 to 65% Choice, 233 head, 931 to 941 lbs., 380.00.
