Fred Vocasek, senior laboratory agronomist at ServiTech, Dodge City, Kansas, has been honored as the 2025 Kansas Certified Crop Advisor of the Year, recognizing his decades of impact on Midwest agriculture and the trust he has built with farmers throughout the region.
Vocasek began his agronomy career in 1978 as a crop management specialist in Nebraska. In 1983, he joined ServiTech, where he has dedicated 42 years of service, holding roles including environmental services manager and laboratory agronomist. Throughout his career, Vocasek has provided technical expertise, customer education, and mentorship, becoming a reliable leader within the agronomy community.

Vocasek has also contributed significantly to the Kansas and International CCA programs, serving as chair, a founding member of the Kansas CCA board, and a contributor to the development of CCA exams for the central Plains region. His dedication has earned him numerous industry honors, including International CCA of the Year, the Agronomic Industry Award, and the Soil Science Professional Leadership Award.
Vocasek also wrote columns about topics concerning agronomy for High Plains Journal.
