Range rider offers help on wolf mitigation

The Colorado Range Rider program, a partnership between Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Colorado Department of Agriculture, is preparing to host a training course for individuals seeking to enhance their skills in range riding and reduce wolf interactions.

The course is designed for those looking to improve their understanding of nonlethal wolf conflict techniques. Training will feature lessons from livestock producers and professionals from Colorado, Montana, Oregon, New Mexico and Arizona.

A training program is set for April 27, 2026, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St., Grand Junction.
