Amazone ZA-TS 01 wins MAGIE ShowStopper award

The Amazone ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread with AmaConnect, described by the company as the industry’s first fully autonomous, self-adjusting fertilizer spreader, has earned the 2026 MAGIE ShowStopper Award following its first U.S. public appearance at the Midwest AG Industries Exposition.

Selected by MAGIE attendees at the Bloomington, Illinois, show, the ShowStopper Award recognizes the product that generates the greatest excitement on the show floor through groundbreaking technology, impressive performance or the crowds it attracts. Presented jointly by CropLife IRON and the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association, the award has recognized MAGIE product introductions for nearly two decades.

“Winning the ShowStopper Award is especially meaningful because it reflects the response of the retailers, applicators and ag professionals who came to MAGIE to see what is next for the industry,” said Marc Heater, Amazone head of product and marketing, North America. “Their recognition reinforces our belief that the ZA-TS 01 represents an important step forward in precision spreading.”

Designed for automated fertilizer spreading, the ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread combines advanced precision application technologies, intelligent automation and connectivity in one integrated platform. Rear-mounted radar sensors actively monitor the spread pattern while two additional sensors track throw distance. Working together, these systems continuously evaluate performance and dynamically adjust spreader settings on the fly, helping custom applicators and farmers achieve more accurate fertilizer placement, improve operating efficiency, reduce unnecessary inputs and support data-driven farming operations.

“The award is an honor, but the greater measure of this machine will be the value it creates in the field,” Heater said. “For custom applicators, that means the ability to cover acres efficiently while delivering the consistency and accuracy their customers expect. For farmers, it means making better use of every pound of fertilizer, reducing waste and protecting the return on every acre. That practical value is what makes the ZA-TS 01 so exciting.”

The ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread is designed to use intelligent, connected equipment to help operators increase productivity while supporting the economic and environmental sustainability of crop production. A full U.S. market launch is planned for 2027.
