Deere expands C-Series lineup with C1450T air cart
John Deere, Moline, Illinois, has introduced the C1450T air cart, the largest-capacity model in its C-Series lineup, designed to help farmers cover more acres between refills during narrow planting windows.
The C1450T includes the same core features found across the C-Series lineup, including AccuRate metering, the EZCal calibration system and integration with the John Deere Operations Center for precision agriculture and logistics management.
“Seeding windows continue to get tighter, and farmers are looking for ways to cover more ground without adding complexity,” said Benjamin Zelle, John Deere marketing manager for seeders and planters. “The C1450T is built to help them scale their operation with increased capacity, so they can stay productive and make the most of every available hour in the field.”
The air cart uses corrosion-resistant stainless-steel AccuRate meters with individually controlled electric drives that support higher-resolution prescriptions, Curve Compensation and SectionCommand Pro. According to John Deere, the system provides up to eight times more precision in seeding compared to previous systems.

The C1450T also features the company’s EZCal push-button calibration system, which eliminates the need for operators to crawl beneath the cart during calibration.
Several features are new to the C1450T. The EZLift system allows operators to lift bulk seed bags directly into the first three tanks from the ground, trailers, truck beds or a storage platform. A bulk bag storage platform provides additional carrying capacity.
John Deere also added a 16-inch hydraulic conveyor designed to speed product loading while providing greater clearance around the rear tires. The conveyor includes a stainless-steel hopper intended to reduce maintenance. The front platform has been redesigned with walk-over stairs for improved access across the hitch.
The cart includes a 105-bushel Flex Tank that can be used for additional seed or fertilizer, increasing flexibility and acres covered between fills. A fifth tank expands product capacity, allowing operators to carry up to five products and blend fertilizer on the cart.

For operations using multi-tank air seeders equipped with a G5 or G5Plus CommandCenter display and G5 Advanced license, a new Operations Center Logistics feature estimates the time and acreage remaining before tanks require refilling. The feature is available for both flat-rate and variable-rate applications.
John Deere also announced precision upgrades for existing equipment. The AccuRate metering system is compatible with two- and three-tank John Deere 1910 air carts as well as C650 and C850 air carts. EZCal technology can also be added to existing equipment. Another available upgrade, the RelativeFlow Blockage system, monitors row-level product flow and alerts operators to blockages to help maintain consistent application.
