The mid-term elections are very close to being here. Many times at midterms, it is hard to get people out to vote.
I hope you see the importance to vote this year and always. If you regularly read this article you probably know basically where I stand. I’m not against the Democrats, but in my opinion I wish their party would split with the socialist and communist thinking on one side and the rest on another.
Some of the left thinking scares me to death. With a few calling for no prisons and others wanting no police. Don’t get me wrong the Republicans have their problems. I do appreciate closed borders. We let people in the United States that hate America.
I appreciate the attack on fraud. One man was just charged for allegedly stealing $4.4 million from the SNAP program.
If you are a believer I ask you to pray that the election goes as it should, and the second thing I ask you to vote. It is laziness to say, “My vote doesn’t count.”
This past week we have been reminded of what can happen at road constructions. There was a portable stop light stretching for a mile on both ends working on two bridges. I went through there the other day. I stopped about one car length behind the car in front of me waiting for the light to change. I spent all that time looking in the mirror and at one point questioned whether the truck coming was going to stop. And that’s what happened one truck didn’t. The only thing I didn’t do was turn my wheels facing the bar ditch and should have. That gives you a good start to get out of the way or if you get hit, thus pushing you hopefully out of the way. It is similar when moving a tractor with a disk or something behind and you are only going 30 mph. Look behind you more than in front. You may have the right of way but may not live to tell your story.
We were all sitting around a big table after the sale was over and eating in the cafe. After a while one of the workers said, “I have got to go to Walgreens to get some medicine.” I spoke up and said, “Hey they sell Viagra at other places besides Walgreens.” Of course, all his buddies got a laugh.
I took my wife to the doctor as she wasn’t feeling well. The doctor said she doesn’t look very well. I said I know but she has a great personality.
