Arkansas livestock auction summary
The summary of livestock auctions in Arkansas for the week ending Nov. 13, showed estimated receipts of 6,855 head selling, compared to 7,675 head a week ago and 15,580 head last year, according to the USDA-Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers were selling $1 to $11 higher. Feeder heifers were selling $4 to $10 higher. Slaughter cows were selling $2 to $4 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $5 lower. The supply included 4,470 stocker and feeder calves, 1,120 feeder yearlings, 370 replacement cows, 815 slaughter cows and 80 slaughter bulls. The feeder supply was 45% yearling heifers.
