Tulsa feeder cattle auction report
The Tulsa feeder cattle Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 1,958 head selling on June 18, compared to 2,124 head a week ago and 1,749 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling $6 to $8 higher. Heifers were selling $5 to $7 higher. Demand was good. Quality was mostly average through attractive. Receipts included 24% over 600 pounds and 43% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $2 to $5 higher. Slaughter bulls were selling $1 higher. A total of 415 cows and bulls sold with 52% going to packers.
