Tulsa livestock auction report

The Tulsa livestock auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,124 head selling on June 11, compared to 3,594 head a week ago and 2,997 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers were selling mostly steady to $2 higher. Quality was average. Demand was good. Receipts included 28% over 600 pounds and 43% heifer. Slaughter cows were selling steady to $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were selling mostly steady. A total of 262 cows and bulls sold with 64% going to packers.
