Woodward Livestock Auction report
The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,792 head selling on Sept. 6, compared to 3,073 head a week ago and 3,241 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers were selling $1 to $4 higher, except 600 pounds were selling $10 higher. Feeder heifers were selling $1 to $2 higher. Steer calves were selling steady to $5 higher. Heifer calves were selling $3 to $4 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 80% over 600 pounds with 41% heifers.
