Kansas representatives named to NCGA action teams
The National Corn Growers Association announced the slate of new and returning farmer leaders who will serve on the organization’s action teams and committees beginning Oct. 1, 2026. Three Kansas corn growers and two Kansas Corn staff members are part of the teams.
The teams represent a cross-section of corn production and consist of state staff, farmers and industry members. The action teams provide growers and stakeholders an opportunity to play an active role in shaping their industry’s future by guiding NCGA programs, policy and priorities.
Biofuels Action Team — Brett Grauerholz, Republic; KCGA vice president.

Production and Sustainability Action Team — Tanner McNinch, Ness City, vice chair; KCGA secretary.
“The Production and Sustainability Action Team focuses on what goes into raising a crop and what comes out of it: the inputs we put into the field, how we measure results and the new markets opening up for growers beyond feed, food and ethanol,” McNinch says. “That covers conservation practices, crop protection tools and regulations and emerging opportunities like 45Z and other low-carbon fuel markets that could add value to every bushel.

“Growing conditions vary widely across Kansas and differ from much of the Corn Belt. Those differences bring challenges that are unique to Kansas, but finding solutions to those challenges strengthens the whole industry. I’m excited to help lead this team to make sure Kansas farmers’ voices are heard, while working toward policies and opportunities that benefit growers across the country.”
Risk Management Action Team — Brent Rogers, Hoxie, vice chair and KCGA director; and Taylor Williamson, Kansas Corn, state staff.

“The primary topic of the risk management team is the farm bill,” Rogers said. “Our team was integral in studies and outreach on issues such as crop insurance, base acres and reference prices, that were part of the House-passed farm bill as well as the Senate ag committee version. I look forward to continuing to bring a Kansas perspective to this team as I help lead this coming year.”

Trade, Transportation and Animal Agriculture Action Team — Connie Fischer, Kansas Corn, state staff.

NCGA Board Nominating Committee — Grauerholz.
Grauerholz is a returning member of the Biofuels Action Team, and Fischer and Williamson are returning to their posts.
NCGA has six action teams: Biofuels; Communication and Education; Production and Sustainability; Research and New Uses; Risk Management; and Trade, Transportation and Animal Agriculture. Kansas representatives serve on four of the six action teams.
