Heifers under 650 pounds were selling $5 to $9 higher, over 650 pounds were selling $2 to $5 higher. Buyers bid readily on all classes of cattle from start to finish. Larger than expected sale today as the CME cattle board sold higher for two consecutive days and sellers were willing to let some inventory go. Quite a few fresh bawling fall calves on hand along with some longtime weaned calves. Most feeder cattle sold in medium plus flesh with a few thin and fleshy cattle in the run.
