The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 855 head selling on Oct. 10, compared to 3,079 head a week ago and 2,612 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, in a light test steer and heifer calves were selling fully steady after declines. Heavy rains this week limited receipts. Demand was moderate to good. Overall quality was average to attractive. Heifers made up 41% and cattle over 600 pounds 15% of the supply.
