Pratt cattle auction report
Pratt Livestock, Pratt, Kansas, reported estimated receipts of 2,650 head on Nov. 15, compared to 3,476 head last week and 3,406 head a year ago, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kansas.
This is the mid-session report. Compared to a week ago, the feeder steers and heifers were very limited offerings. There was not enough comparable weights for a market trend. A lower undertone and lighter demand was noted. There were not enough steer and heifer calves of comparable weights for a market trend. The calves were considerably lower with a weak demand noted. Overall, the demand was moderate to good and the quality was average to attractive. The fgeeder supply was 65% steers and 35% was heifers, with 70% weighing over 600 pounds.
