The Tama Feeder Cattle Auction, Tama, Iowa, reported receipts of 730 head selling on March 9, compared to 434 head a week ago, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
This was a special pre-conditioned calf sale. There was no comparison due to low receipts reported two weeks ago. Trade was active. Demand was good. The supply consisted of 48.8% steers, 51.2% heifers and 69.1% were over 600 pounds.
